- 中文摘要: Interaction between DCTA and Ce(III) ion has been investigated spectrophotometrically. It has been found that the Ce(III)-DCTA chelate in aqueous solution (pH 4.25) exhibited a characteristic absorption maximum at 305mμ. The absorption of Ce(III)-DCTA chelate is considerably diminished by the addition of small amounts of Th(IV) ion. This phenomenon is used as the basis of a simple spectrophotometric scheme for the quantitative determination of Th(IV) ion and the evaluation of the formation constant of Th(IV)-DCTA chelate. The composition of Ce(III)- and Th (IV)-DCTA chelates were 1:1 and the corresponding formation constants (log K..) of the chelates were 16.87 and 23.76 at 25℃ and an ionic strength of 0.1 (KNO3), respectively. The application of this system to the determination of traces of Th(IV) ion has been demonstrated.
