• 英文摘要： A total of 170 mentally retarded school children were examined cytogenetically. Fifteen of them (8.82%) had chromosomal abnormalities or variants detectable in their lymphocytes. The etiological role of those structural variants, including long Y (five patients) and lqh+ (one patient) was uncertain. Eight children were Down's syndrome of either trisomic 21 or Robertsonian translocation. A comparison was made between our findings and those reported in the literature.
