實此抑制作用,係因Alloxan直接破壞腎上皮細胞(Adrenal cortex cells)所致,非因血糖驟增引起。此外,Streptozo-

尚 - 英文摘要: The purpose of this study is to investigate the adrenocortical function of alloxan-induced diabeticrats. Male rats of Wistar strain, weighing 200-250 gm were used. The results indicated that the adrenocor-tical response to stress and exogenous corticotropin (ACTH )is decreased during the early diabeticstages (up to 6 days). Evidence from in vivo and in vitro studies shows that the depression is caused by thetoxicity of alloxan on the adrenal cortex cells and not by the sudden rise of blood glucose levels. Strepto-zotocin (another diabetogen) has the same effect as alloxan on adrenal cortex cells.
