Viruses(BVDV)免疫後第七週,以豬瘟強毒(ALD株,1000 MLD)攻擊,呈輕微或無之臨床
反應而耐過。就此攻毒反應豬作臨床病理學之探討,來究明其發病狀態。
經豬瘟強攻擊之BVDV免疫豬,體溫上升2~3天,精神、食慾亦受影響,但隨即同復正常。
攻毒後第3~6天可由糞便及尿液檢出豬瘟病毒。白血球減少及左轉現象,於攻毒後2~4天出
現;同時血小板量亦減少,但不顯著。血清麥胺酸草酸醋酸胺基轉換?(SGOT)活性,於攻毒後
第一週上升2倍量,第二週則又顯著同降。攻毒後,血清總蛋白質之含量略升,血清白蛋白量逐
漸下降,α球蛋白量則顯著上升,猜測其亦有異性蛋白參與,β及 球蛋白量之增值則較不明顯。
血中豬瘟及BVDV中和抗體,攻毒後迅速上升,於第二週分別由0.70達2.41及由0.61達2.54,
(Logfo)之值。耐過豬於胸骨、顎下等淋巴結,常可見周邊性之出血病變,有一例可見耳下腺之
出血點,另一例則有顯著之脾梗塞病變。
由結果顯示,雖然BVDV可免疫豬隻,耐過豬瘟強毒的攻擊,但部份耐過豬,於生體內確
有潛伏性的豬瘟病變發生;尤其是免疫豬感染豬瘟,會排病毒,散佈病原,此在BVDV應用判
定及作豬瘟預防工作上,值得吾人警惕也。可 - 英文摘要: Eleven field piglets, aged 3 weeks, possessingmaternal hog cholera antibodies were vaccinatedwith bovine viral diarrhea viruses (BVDV). Sevenweeks after vaccination, the vaccinated pigs werechallenged with ALD virulent hog cholera viruswith concentration of 1,000 MLD. Both clinicaland pathological examinations were performedin the present study in order to find out theprotectivity of BVDV in swine to hog cholerainfection. After challenged, the BVDV vaccinatedpigs showed to have fever for 2-3 days, someof the challenged pigs were anorexia anddepression, but all of them were recoveredfrom infection. The hog cholera viruses weredetected from fecal and urinary materials fromthe 3rd through the 6th day after challenged.The leucopenia and the shift to the left of theneutrophils were noticed from the 2nd throughthe 4th day after challenged with the virulenthog cholera virus, and slight thrombocytopeniawere also observed at the same time. The activityof the serum glutamic oxalacetic transaminasewas significantly increased for about two timesin the first week after challenged, but decreasedrapidly in the second week. After challenged,the total serum protein concentrations were sli-ghtly increased. Within the protein constituents,the serum albumin was decreased gradually.However, both the α-globulin and heteroproteinconcentrations were significantly increased andthese were shown by the appearance of two peakphase in the electrophoretic analysis. Moreover,both β-globulin and -globulin were graduallyincreased, but without any significant value. Two weeks after challenged, the level ofneutralizing antibodies against both hog choleraand BVD viruses in the infected pigs wererapidly increased from 0.70 to 2.41 and 0.61 to2.54 (Log ), respectively. The peripheral hemor-rhage lesions were occasionally observed in thesternal and mandibular lymph nodes of the sur-vival pigs. In one case, the petechial lesion inparotid salivary gland was noticed, whereas, -inanother case, the spleen infarctions were ob-served. The results were indicated that some of thesurvival pigs have shown subclinical sign ofhog cholera infection. The present study alsoindicated that the survival pigs would excretehog cholera virus and apparently became tobe a viral carrier after infection. The BVDVvaccination program in pigs provided only alimited degree of protection to against hogcholera virus infection. Therefore the use ofBVDV in pigs for hog cholera control shouldbe carefully evaluated.
