• 中文摘要： 這篇論文以《天演論書後》為基本資料，檢討李春生對天演論的批判，並嘗試為李春生進行思想史的定位。從我們的分析可以看出：李春生批判天演論的各項言論，顯示出（一）宗教與科學的對抗；（二）傳統以「存有」為中心的世界觀，與近代以降以「變遷」為中心的世界觀抗衡；（三）價值滲透與價值中立兩種態度的對壘。在以上這三個面向中，李春生站在宗教的、傳統的以及價值滲透的立場，對天演論進行無情的撻伐。他所採取的這三個立場，以宗教為基礎，歸結到「無形之神」的最高信仰。從中國近代思想史的立場來看，相對於絕大多數中國知識份子之接受演化論而言，李春生確實是逆流游泳，與眾不同。作為一個虔誠的基督徒，李春生深信「存有」(being)，拒斥「變遷」(becoming)。我們看到了李春生的基督徒色彩完全遮掩過他的近代中國知識份子色彩。
• 英文摘要： The author describes Li Ch'un-Sheng's critique of evolutionism as it appears in his After-thoughts On Evolutionism, in which he focused on the paradoxes and conflicts between: （1）religion and science; (2) the traditional“being-centered”and modernist“becoming-centered”world views: and (3) value-infused and value-neutral standpoints．His strong support for thereligious/traditional/value-infused viewpoint was based on his deep faith in a supreme, invisibleGod. As such, his views opposed those of the overwhelming majority of evolution-orientedintellectuals of his time.
