- 中文摘要: 本實驗仍在探討大白鼠在剛出生時或成熟時,在單側摘眼後,其同側視神經末梢分佈之擴大情形之研究。同時有一先天失去單側眼球之老鼠亦在其剩下之眼球中注射標示胺基酸來探求其視神經之分佈。 本實驗發現單側眼球摘除後,其視神經末梢之分佈有擴大之現象,尤其是一出生即摘除單眼之動物比成熟後摘除單眼者顯著,而先天失去一眼球之動物最為明顯。這種在視神經末梢,在不同區域之出芽情形及與年齡有關之現象在本文中有詳細的討論。
- 英文摘要: Expansion of ipsilateral retinal inputs into terminal regions of the primary was assessed in rats enu-cleated at birth or as adults. In addition, one animal with a congenital absence of one eye received an in-jection of the label into the remaining eye and was similarly processed. Analysis of the sections revealedan increase in retinal inputs, relative to control injections, in the lateral geniculate nucleus and the superiorcolliculus. The increase observed in the brains of animals receiving enucleation at birth was greater than theincrease observed after eye removal in the adult, although the greatest increase was observed in the animalwith the congenital loss of one eye. Differences in the sprouting response within the various terminal areasas well as the age related decrease in the ability of retinofugal axons to sprout into denervated visual areasin the brain are discussed.
