- 英文摘要: In an excellent methodological approach, the Europeanacamprosate study project showed that acamprosateincreases sobriety times. In one randomized prospectivestudy (n = 260) comparing acamprosate and placebo, with a 1-year treatment phase and 1-year follow-upphase, the authors found that acamprosate is effectiveonly in Lesch type I and type II patients. To investigatethe possible influence of diagnostic subgrouping, weapplied the Lesch typology in a co-work with the mainresearchers of the UK study. The UK results concerningacamprosate's effects in the types do not mirror the Vien-na results, but the numbers of type I and type II patients, retrospectively found as included in the UK centers, weretoo small for any conclusions. The distribution of thetypes points to the fact that too many type III and IVpatients had been included to give acamprosate thechance to be effective. Following our typology and alsothese studies, we developed special treatment ap-proaches. For relapse prevention studies, the cumulativeabstinence duration together with the Lesch typologyseems to be promising.
