- 英文摘要: Catalytic oxidation of soot particulates from a 2- stroke motorcycle was studied. .gamma.-alumina supported CuO, Pt-Pd, and Pt-Pd-CuO catalysts were employed. The catalyst was coated with the motorcycle soot by being placed in an exhaust pipe. Following drying, the coated catalyst was placed in a flow reactor and a gas mixture containing 2% oxygen and balance nitrogen was led through it at a flow- rate of 300ml/min. The oxidation rate was determined at between 423 and 723K. The Pt-Pd-CuO catalyst was indicated by the result to possibly be effective for the combustion of motorcycle soot . Additionally, the soot oxidation was inferred from observations in this work to primarily occur on the external surface. A synergistic effect also occurred as a result of the Pt and Pd species being closely associated with the CuO species on the external surface and has consequently substantially increased the soot conversion.
