• 中文摘要： 本研究以臺灣產馬鞭草科(Verbenaceae)海州常山屬(Clerodendrum)之龍船花C. paniculatum L.及其品種白龍船花C. paniculatum L. forma albiflorum（Hemsl.）Hsieh為材料，同時進行外部形態之觀察及精油之化學分析，以瞭解其變異情形以及二者間的分類關係。 本研究結果顯示龍船花與白龍船花在精油的組成上，不論數或量的表現，白龍船花明顯的比龍船花來得少。因此兩者在精油上有相當之差異。精油數據之歸群分析及主成分分析之結果也明顯地顯示出兩者間之差異。至於在外部形態上，除了花及花序上顏色的明顯不同外，其於花蕾分化時亦於項葉上之葉尖顏色的變化可看得出。因此我們認為白龍船花宜當做－變種（C. paniculatum L. var. albiflorum Hemsl）。
• 英文摘要： Clerodendrum paniculatum L. and C. paniculatum L. forma albiflorum (Hemsl.）Hsieh are the sub-jects of the present study. The external morphological observations and comparative chemical studies ofessential oils were performed in order to understand the natural variation of populations and the taxonomicrelationship between these two taxa. The results of the present study indicate that the essential oil compositions are quite different be-tween these two taxa. C. paniculatum possesses a much higher quantity and many more constituents thanC. paniculatum forma albiflorum. Morphological differences also exist between these two taxa. Apartfrom the color difference of inflorescence, a color difference can also be observed on the tips of leaf lobesduring the early stage of flower bud differentiation. This morphological and chemical evidence supportthe taxonomic treatment in which the white-flowered variant is treated as a variety of C. paniculatum.
