- 中文摘要: In order to obtain useful information n breeding high protein or high oil contentof soybean varieties, three experiiments were undertaken. They are: (1)comparedseasonal differences in chemical composition of soybean, (2) selected high proteinor high oil content of soybean varieties and lines fxom among genetic stocks ofsoybeans, (3) analysed the chemical composition of 10 wild soybean species forobserving the variation of oil and protein content in different species. In the investigations of three different cropping seasons i.e. spring (Februaryto March seeding), summer (July seeding), autumn (October seeding), it was foundthat varieties grown in spring generally has high protein and high oil content, butlower content in sugar than that raised in summer and autumn. There were five varieties, Thailand, Lee, Akidaizu No. 3, Tamanishiki and Im-proved Pelican possess 23% oil content or more, and four lines,. R25, R60, R84 andAutumn No. 16 possess about 23% oil, also.Concerning high protein soybeans, sixvarieties, Fukien soybean, White soybean, Brown soybean, Karibatakidani, KangtouNo. 13 and Kangtou No. 14 possess more than 49% protein content. Three lines,E36, E63, Q56 have about 48% protein content were also selected. Theses high oiland high protein content soybean varieties and lines were worthy as the materialon soybean breeding. Wild soybean species were no significant differences between oil or proteincontent associated with origin of seed and chromosome number. The protein contentof G. koidzumii, G. gracilis, G. ussurensis and G. formosana were same as Taiwancultivated soybean, moreover, G. koidzumii has 48.97% protein content. The oilcontent of two species, G. tabacina and G. javanica was found lesser amount thanthat of G. max.
