- 中文摘要: The ruthanium-catalyzed hydrogenation of acetic acid to ethanol was conducted at 140-230.degree. under hydrogen pressure of 40.8-81.6 atm with a catalyst loading of 4 g/L. The best rate expression to fit the experimental results is .gamma.=-(dC/sub ac//dt)=(kK/sub ac/K/sub h/C/sub ac/.gamma.P/sub h//(1+K/sub h/.alpha.P/sub h/+K/sub ea/C/sub ea/+K/sub eo/C/sub eo/+K/sub ac/C/sub ac/+K/sub w/C/sub w/)/sup 2/). Kinetic data at 230.degree. were obtained with an average error of 7%. It is concluded that the rate limiting step is the first addition of hydrogen to acetic acid to produce aldehyde and water as the intermediates. The activation energy is 12.7 kcal/mole.
