飼養條件及鈷六十放射線處理對東方果實蠅發育之影響

本文係研究東方果實蠅 (Dacus dorsalis H.) 人工大量繁殖及不孕性處理有關之部份生態問題:(1)人工繁殖過程中,蟲卯接種入幼蟲培養基的方式與蟲體發育及蟲體同收率有極大關係;(2)不同種類的麥皮及含量影響蟲體發育;(3)蛹期在27 C一天的發育相當於20 C二天的發育;(4)不同蛹齡的蛹體經鈷六十照射後,羽化率、產卵量及之孵化均受不同程度之影響。

Some ecological studies on the Orientalfruit fly were conducted to improve mass rearingtechniques for sterile-male release program.Results obtained from the experiments weregiven as follows: (1) Methods of egg-seeding were found tobe one of the most important factors to thelarval development and pupal recovery. (2) 2/3 parts of red wheat bran and 1/3part of white wheat mills of larval media pr-ovided the best development and larval (or pupal)recovery in the mass rearing. (3) The rate of pupal development at 27 Cwas 2 times as fast as at 20 C. (4) When pupae were irradiated with Co-60 11 Krad, flies emerged from 10-day oldpupae, laid no eggs and produced white-coloredscutellum, but those from 12-day old pupae laida few eggs with poor hatching percentage. Onthe contrary, flies from controlled lot laid onan average of 592 eggs per female with hatchingpercentage of 89.22%.
