- 中文摘要: 本研究探討台灣束北部黑潮入侵束海陸棚所誘發湧升流水域中,海水溫度與硝酸鹽濃度對浮游植物葉綠素甲影響之季節性差異。夏季時以硝酸鹽濃度之影響比較顯著,冬季除硝酸鹽外,溫度亦極重要。寒冷季節時,湧升流區表水因來自黑潮次表水,溫度較陸棚之表水為高,雖然陸棚上此時亦俱高濃度硝酸鹽,但其浮游植物生物量卻不如湧升流水域,較高的溫度有助於較高之浮游植物生物量存在;主成份分析的結果顯示,此時陸棚與湧升流兩水域之浮游植物族群組成迥異。
- 英文摘要: The effect of seawater temperature and nitrate concentration on the distribution of phytoplanktonwas studied during warm and cold seasons in the upwelling induced by the Kuroshio Current at the con-tinental shelf of the East China Sea, northeast of Taiwan. During the warm season, the nitrate contentwas the only significant factor affecting surface chlorophyll a distribution. In the cold season, however,both nitrate content and temperature played significant roles in determining chlorophyll a concentration.High chlorophyll a concentration accompanying high surface temperatures was observed during the coldseason in the upwelling region while high nutrient and the low chlorophyll a phenomenon was observedin the adjacent shelf waters. The high temperature of the upwelled water during the cold season helpedthe phytoplankton population to thrive. Principal component analysis of the phytoplankton species com-position indicated the existence of different water masses in the upwelling and shelf regions.
