尿崩症致病原因之定量研究

以大白鼠為實驗材料,應用立體定位器通電破壞下視丘,藉生物鑑定法測量抗利尿素,研究腦下腺後葉的抗利尿素含量與尿崩症致病的關係。結果發現大白鼠腦下腺後葉的抗利尿素降低至五十毫單位以下時,其飲水量激增而患尿崩症,即維持水分平衡所需的腦下腺後葉抗利尿素的最低含量為五十毫單位,相當於正常含量的8%。由測定尿崩症鼠之血漿滲透度、鈉和氯離子濃度均顯著增加,並且膈肌含水量減少、顯示因抗利尿素分泌不足,而引起體內高滲透性缺水,導致激發性多飲。

The relationship between nerohy-pophysial vasopressin content and thepathogenesis of diabetes insipidus (DI)was studied in rats with different de-grees of electrolytic lesions in the hypo-thalamus. It was found that water in-take increased markedly whenever thevasopressin level in the rat neurohypo-physis was less than 50 milliunits. Inother words, the minimum quantity ofneurohypophysial vasopressin necessaryfor water balance was 50 milliunits,equivalent to about 8% of the normalamount of the unoperated rat. Since thesignificant increase of plasma sodium,chloride and osmolarity and a concur-rent decrease of the water content ofthe diaphragm muscle in rats with DIproduced by hypothalamic lesions, itwas postulated that hyperosmotic de-hydration due to vasopressin deficiencyexisted in DI rats and therefore, led tosecondary polydipsia.
