水稻品種與期作間之稻穗空穎分佈探討

Field experiments were conductedto compare the distribution of un-filledgrains between the first and secondcrop seasons of 1980 in Taichung area.Four cultiuars, Tainan 5 and Tainung52 (japonica) as well as Taichung Sen3 and Wu Mao-C hung (indica) wereused as material, the results obtainedare summarized as following: 1. Generally, the grain yield of thesecond crop was lower than that of thefirst crop for all tested cultivars. 2. The grain reduction for twojaponica cultivars in the second cropwas mainly due to few panicle number,and to few panicle number and lowerseed setting for two indica cultivars. 3. Un-filled grain for two indicacultivars, Taichung Sen 3 and Wu Mao-Chung, were 19.3 and 11.4% differencebetween two crops respectively. 4. It was observed that the filledgrain was highest for primary tillersfollowed by the main culms and secon-dary tillers in that order. The signif-ioant increase in un-filled grain inTaichung Sen 3 and Wu Mao-Chung inthe second crop was caused jointly bylower seed-setting of all panicle-bearingtillers. Un-filled grain percentage werealso higher for tillers originated fromhigher nodes of the main culm and forspikelets positioned at lower nodes ofpanicle for these two indica cultivarsgrown in the second crop as comparedwith the first crop.
