水稻田中所分離出一株固氮藍綠藻之特性

台灣水稻田中有一種固氮藍綠藻,念球藻 Anabaena sp. CH1,已被純種分離出。它的最適生長條件為缺氮之 BG11培養液 30至35°C, 10至15 klux 之光照度。生長指標可以透光度、葉綠素和蛋白質含量表示,結果顯示均一致。當它於30°C, 15 klux, 0.03% CO 培養時的生長加倍時間為八小時左右,固氮酵素活性約為0.9 mol C H producedper mg protein per hour。

One strain of cyanobacteria (Anabaena sp. CH1) has been isolated from paddies in Taiwan. It hasshort linear filaments with intercalary heterocyst and tapered end cells. The suitable growth medium forAnabaena sp. CH1 is the modified nitrogen-free BG11 medium. The optimum growth temperature andlight intensity for the isolate are 30 to 35°C and 10 to 15 klux, respectively. The measurements of turbid-ity, chlorophyll and protein content showed parallel results during its log phase. Its doubling time withmodified BG11 medium at 30°C under l5 klux and 0.03% CO was about 8 hours. Its nitrogenase activitymeasured by the rate of acetylene reduction at the same condition was about 0.9 mol C H produced permg protein per hour.
