再生性資源之最適開發規劃

Renewable resources are different fromexhaustible resources by the fact that theformer can grow. Although renewableresources can grow, it does not mean thatthey will never be exhausted. The exploitationhas to be carefully planned to the best useof each unit exploited. In this paper threemodels concerning the best use of renewableresources are proposed: single age-elass withfixed growth rate, single age-class withvariable growth rate, and multiple age-classeswith variable growth rate. Mathematicalprogramming is used to formulate the pro-blem to maximize the present value. Theredundant constraints are eliminated. Thena simple recursive relationship for eachmodel is derived from the Kuhn-Tuckerconditions of the corresponding model.Finally, a Donglasfir forest is used as anexample to illustrate how the derivd recursiverelationship can be used to solve the realisticproblems·
