In this research the crosslinking density of vulcanized rubber have
been changed extensively, especially for the part of high crosslinking density to
discuss the correlation between the strain the crosslinking density, which disagreed
between theoretical and measured value, by introducing the connection of non-
Gaussian distribution function and the Mooney-Rivlin equation, and try to estimate
the segments of the statistical structure unit. Also we want to discuss the limited
used of the ideal equation of rubber elasticity and the theoretical equation of
swelling.
The results of studying are found as follows
(1) The crosslinking density and critical elongation of natural rubber in the
linear region has the following rectilinear relationship.
Α* =3.22-0.46 no×10^4
(2) The crosslinking density of natural rubber is in inverse proportion to the
number of statistical segments between two crosslinks. Every segment definitely
contains about 2.3 isoprene units and this generally matches with the results
measured by others.
(3) It can be considered as a linear region on mechanical view point when
nM(0)>ns(0) and the ideal rubber elasticity equation is applicable. The ideal
rubber elasticity equation is not applicable in the region nM(0)regarded as a nonlinear region. - 中文關鍵字: --
