大豆光合作用與固氮活性之相關性?究

本試驗用四種大豆品種,栽植於田間,俟幼苗苗?達13天時,開始測定其淨光合率,以及根瘤固氮活性,以探討在 大豆全生育期內 ,此二種生理反應之變化情形,以及其彼此間之相關性。 試驗結果顯示,大豆淨光合率與固氮活性均受到生育期以及品種之影響。淨光合率與固氮活性二者間之相關性,亦極 顯著。不過固氮活性之高低,似乎也與植株與根瘤間,光合產物之分配與利用有關。尤其是品種間光合產物分配或利用 上之差異,對固氮活性所造成之影響更?明顯。本試驗亦證實,在大豆生育後期,固氮活性之變異與其種子與植株乾重比 率之改變有關。因此,在生育後期之固氮活性變化,似乎可以用來作?高?穫指數品種之選拔指標之一 。

The relationship between net assimilation rate and nodule nitrogenase activity of four field-grown soybean (Glycine max L. Merrill) genotypes, Chung-Hsing 3 (CH 3), Tainung 4 (TN 4), Clark, and Harosoy, was investigated throughout growth season. Statistical analysis of the data indicated that significant differences existed in net assimilation rate as affected by growth stages and genotypes. Nodule nitrogenase activity also appeared to depend on growth stage and genotype. Nitrogenase activity in soybean nodule initiated two weeks after seedling emergence reached a maximum at early pod filling and declined rapidly thereafter. Definite genotypic differences existed in nitrogenase activity, suggesting that this character has potential as a selection criterion in an improvement program. Distinct genotypic differences were also observed in nitrogenase activity response to net assimilation rate, though regression coefficients of four genotypes exhibited the same positive response. The data presented suggests that the partitioning and utilization of available photosynthates may also play an important role in regulating the nodule nitrogenase activity. Investigation of nodule nitrogenase activity response to seed development revealed that nodule activity decline was associated with variation in seed and whole plant dry weight ratio, and thus, the measurement of nitrogenase activity may be helpful in identifying a higher seed yield variety within soybean species. However, further work remains to be done in determining the significance of nitrogenase activity and seed yield relationship and in establishing nitrogenase activity as a selection index for high harvest index variety in soybean a improvement program.
