- 中文摘要: 本研究以蒸餾法和毛細分離管之氣相層析法分析臺灣扁柏,紅檜和紅檜變異株之36個葉枝樣本的精油成分,然後將所得化學數據以電腦進行統計分類學分析。結果顯示臺灣扁柏和紅檜在精油組成上差異很大,此兩種植物在化學組成上之分歧度似乎大於其形態差異。臺灣扁柏之精油成分比紅檜複雜,顯示臺灣扁柏可能是演化上較進化之種類。紅檜變異株之精油成分與正常紅檜類似,因此由精油成分來說,很難支持紅檜變異株是由紅檜和扁柏雜交而來之假說。
- 英文摘要: Thirty-six foliage samples of Taiwan Cypress, Taiwan Red Cypress, and the variants of Taiwan RedCypress were investigated for their essential oil compositions by means of steam distillation and capillarygas chromatography. The resultant chemical data were used in a numerical taxonomic study. The resultsindicate that considerable differences exist between the essential oil compositions of Taiwan Cypress andTaiwan Red Cypress. The degree of chemical divergence between these two taxa seems to be greater thanthe morphological divergence. The complexity of essential oil composition in Taiwan Cypress seems toindicate that Taiwan Cypress might be an evolutionary more advanced taxon. The result of the study onthe essential oil constituents of the variants of Taiwan Red Cypress does not support the hypothesis thatthese variants are the results of natural hybridization between Taiwan Cypress and Taiwan Red Cypress.
